Website Care & Support

A steady, long-term approach to looking after your website

Most small business owners don’t want to think about their website very often.
They just want it to stay secure, work properly, and quietly support their business in the background.

Website Care & Support is about taking responsibility for that — so you don’t have to keep worrying about updates, security, or whether something might break.

This isn’t a one-off service. It’s an ongoing relationship.

Who this is for

This service is designed for small businesses, sole traders, and community organisations who:

  • want their website properly looked after, not just built and forgotten

  • don’t want to rebuild their site every couple of years

  • would rather prevent problems than fix emergencies

  • value having a named person they can email when something needs changing

If you’re looking for the cheapest option, or just a quick fix, this probably isn’t the right fit.
If you want something dependable and long-term, it likely is.

What I take care of

I keep things deliberately straightforward.

Website Care & Support usually includes:

  • Keeping WordPress, themes, and plugins up to date

  • Monitoring security and addressing issues before they become problems

  • Regular backups, checked and handled properly

  • Making small changes, updates, and content adjustments when needed

  • Keeping an eye on performance and general site health over time

There’s no “set and forget” automation.
Changes are checked properly and handled with care.

How it works

  1. We talk about your website and what you need from it
  2. I review what’s already there and flag anything that needs attention
  3. Your site is looked after on an ongoing basis
  4. When something needs changing, you email me — and it gets dealt with

Many clients come to me with existing websites. I’ll review what’s already there and be honest about whether ongoing care makes sense.

Simple, predictable, and low-stress.

A personal, hands-on service

I don’t outsource work and I don’t run an agency.

When you get in touch, you’re dealing with the same person who built your site, maintains it, and helps keep it running smoothly over time. That continuity matters — especially when something needs explaining or fixing calmly.

Most of my clients stay with me for years, not months.

Working responsibly

Where possible, I try to work in ways that are sustainable and considered — choosing efficient hosting, avoiding unnecessary rebuilds, and designing websites to last rather than be replaced every couple of years.

It’s less about ticking boxes, and more about taking responsibility for the long term.
